After having a 20 minute parked on the road delay this morning from an accident, driver's down here really don't need any winter conditions to help them make traffic worse.

I have seen more accidents here due to sun glare than anywhere else I've been...

I'm so poor I have to wrap my feet in bar bed wire just to get traction on the ice. Wish I had shoes...

The jeep doors were frozen shut this morning, what the hell, it didn't even rain! Felt like I was gonna rip the weather stripping off. and the two hour school delay was for absolutely nothing, there was no ice on the road on my way in.

-11 here yesterday, sitting dead on zero right now, that's the OAT not including wind chill. My heart's breaking for you all...

Jeff, you forgot about fighting off bears with a slate tablet...both ways...except for Steve, he had to use a scrap of bark and a stick that had been blackened in the fire...after he invented fire that is, before then it was a sharpened stick in dirt, and that stick does nothing for bears except make them mad. Did I mention that the dirt was brand new then?

(FWIW, my mother and uncle who is a year younger than my mother used to have to go into school early so that my uncle could get the coal fire stoked back up because they only lived a half mile down the road from the one room schoolhouse/church, so they were closest.)

They don't want the babies to get cold waiting for the buses. LOL.
