Default 15 Minutes of Fame Opportunity

Heart of Carolina Mustang Club is trying, at extremely short notice, to put together a fake car show for a nationally televised cable show. The details are a bit sketchy at the moment (the main player, a car dealership, backed out) but we are in great need of cars...not just Mustangs, other cars as well. One of the needed cars in particular is a small convertible - MG, Triumph, Miata, that sort of thing.
If you would like to be involved and you can be free on Wednesday the 23rd from 8 AM to 6 PM and you can be in the Raleigh area on that day, speak up! If you know anyone with a little convertible, speak up! If you know anyone with a car to show, regardless of make and model, that can be at the show speak up!
I'll get the details out as they become available. I know this is very short notice, it is for us as well, but...you could end up being famous! (probably not, lets be serious, most of you have a face for radio, but maybe your wives could be famous )

Don't forget that shirt, you might get a second job washing everyone's car with that on.

Details as follows from an Email from the show contact, ANDREW HECHT. Note that he wants to know your car if you are bringing one. Also note that you do not have to bring one to attend. If you do plan to attend, please wear something without logos as the show does not have permission to use them. Send the info to the email address below.

Hello,

Just want to let you know that we have confirmed a location for this Wednesday's shoot. The location is:

East Coast Classic Cars
325 East Cornelius Harnett Boulevard
Lillington, NC 27546
(910) 893-9270
http://www.ecoastcc.com/

Fingers crossed that the we have nice weather on Wednesday. In the event that it rains we would still be able to have the car show inside the showroom with the hundreds of classic cars already on the premises. Of course you would not be expected to bring your car if it rains but we would still like for you to attend the car show.

Also, if you know someone that is interested in attending the event whether they are bringing a car or not, please have them email me their name, phone, email, make, color, year and a photo of the car they plan to bring to the show to: ahecht1@gmail.com.

I will be following up tomorrow via email with details regarding Wednesday's shoot.

Please confirm that you will be attending.

Thanks so much.

Best,

Andrew

Sent Andrew an email, I'll be there. Depends on the weather if my car comes too.

The event went off well, sorry you all missed it. It was a lot of fun, and BTW if anyone wants a classic car East Coast Classics is the place to check. Lots of nice cars there including several very nice Mach 1's (and one early 70's 'vert with Mach 1 style striping).

I'll let everyone know what the air time date and time (and show) is going to be. I signed a non-disclosure agreement, so don't ask!
