Update.. I ordered the Ford Racing 4:10 gears (M-4209-G410A )and i got them today so the shipping was great for free @ $139 .. Now i just odered the Ring and Pinion install kit which is also Ford Racing kit ( M-4210-B2 ) which comes with the 2012 Shelby GT500 high-torque rear pinion bearing as the kit was $79 with free shipping..

http://www.buyfordracing.com/8-8-rin...tallation-kit/

I have saved $70 vs getting the parts threw AM and with the savings i odered the Ford Racing 8.8 Axle bearings from AM for $24.99 free shipping.. I have also talked with 3 diffrent places and i may go with the one that said there will be no gear whine and there should never be any if done right for $345 lobor.. so maybe next week it will happen!

Ok.. i had it done today and just got the car home and everything seems great as i hear no whine from the 4:10's.. they replaced everything i bought even the axle bearings and gave me Royal Purple full synthetic and the total was $275 so with the cost of all the parts it was $517.99 total and there shop is 7 miles from my house.

Car is still tight so i have to break it in till 500 miles .. all and all it came out $125 cheaper then the other guy which they never added in the install of axle bearings.

Cool. Good to hear that you got it done and that you are happy with the results.

Which place did you take it to again?

It was just a local shop that i stopped by one day as they had a crazy looking 4x4 sitting out front.. the guy also had a collection of cars sitting in there 63 vette and 69 camaro and a chopper and he even had a set of gears (4:10 for $100) to sale me which i had already ordered mine..

they told me to drop it off at 9:00am and pick it up at 5:00pm so when i got there it was not ready as they fell behind and i think they knew i was kind of pissed .. the guy said he would stay late and finsh my car and call me when ready and i got the call around 8:30pm so i have to say they took care of me to get my car back in one day. Thomas Automotive & Towing 336/672-8292

Got it home and loaded the new tunes BAMA made for me with 4:10 gears.

I think they used to be Thomas Tire and Automotive on Fayetteville too right? They always treated my mom well when she'd take her car there.

I'm glad they got you fixed up and rocking!
