I'm getting my car black GT clayed tuesday. Can't wait to see the results. I miss that shiny black look

Also, be sure not to drop the clay. If you do throw it away. Otherwise you will scratch up your paint.

Very important. The clay grabs everything.

Thanks for the tips. When I put the quick detail on it, the paint was pretty "grabby" with the cloth, so I doubt it had been waxed previously.

Seriously though give yourself at least a four hour block time to wash, dry, move car in garage, clay (IAW product instructions), and wax....unless you would also like to seal then wax..please add 1-1.5 hours.

My timeline is based on no power buffer, only elbow grease.

I would clay then add a paint sealer before waxing and polishing...something like Duragloss Clear Coat Protectant.
It will need between 18-24hrs to cure, but is well worth the 10+ months of solid protection it provides. Will cut your upkeep time afterwards almost in half

I always thought you put the sealer on after you had done your paint correction?

Picked up some stuff called Black Magic at a detailer store, works awesome! Smells like grapes but does a great job!
