Default What's the verdict on removing resonators?

So I want my car a little louder wife doesn't, but I'm paying for it lol.

I have GT500 axle backs and heard removing the resonators and replacing with straight pipe may be the way to go.

Anyone have this setup and your opinions?

There is a used magnaflow competition cat back for $400 on craigslist but unfortunately I don't have the money at the moment.

I figure about $75 for the resonator removal.

Thats odd. Is that catback in fort bragg? Lol. Doug has that setup with a 3" h pipe and it sounded sweet. Try running into him at one of the meets to listen.

Clowe is right I have that setup.....LOVE IT!
I talked to that guy with the Magnaflow setup on CL, almost bought it then I heard that specific cat-back creates a lot of drone and also has clearance issues "over the axle" on lowered cars....so I backed outta the deal!

On my setup.....Videos don't do it justice but here you go anyway:

Sounds great how much of a difference did the JBA H pipe make in that sound? Also no drone correct?

No drone at all....I installed the JBA when I removed the resonatots so hard to tell what the H pipe alone did. From the others I have heard it quieted it down a bit if anything.

Sounds good I think I'm going to do this. Currently trying to sell a brand new copy of adobe lightroom 4, so once that sells it's time to get it done. If you know anyone interested send them my way lol.
