Did sort of ok I guess.. this was my first time to the track with a car I had to do a burnout with. Here is a post from another forum(so I don't retype ).
Visited my local 1/8th mile track today in my 12' GT500. It was my first time (with tires) trying to run it at the track. It is also my first car I have owned where I had to do a burnout(previous track car was AWD).
Mods are 2.6 Upper pulley, 90mm idler, MGW shifter, JLT carbon intake tube(not the cai, just tube), and dyno tune, Nitto 555r 305/35-20. The car put down 558/574sae, and 571/587std.
I had no idea what pressure, nor launch rpm would need to be, so I played around. I actually stalled on the burnout a couple of times because for some reason my traction control turned back on after I shut it off.. not sure why.
I was also having some 1-2 grind issues, which I am going to try to get figured out before I go back.
Lots of traction issues, spinning in 2nd etc. I will have to get some track only wheel tire setup. The 20's are good on the street, but not the track. I finally got my best decent run at 20psi, and approx 3000rpm quick slip launch. The car bogged, but still managed 1.87 60ft. My best et was 7.79, and my best mph of the day was 97mph. I think I have 7.40's in it if I can get a good launch and run. I did not remove the front swaybar this time, but will next time. I did put a 40lb bag of water softener salt in the truck to help a little. I will also have suspension mods next time out, LCA, brackets, UCA etc.
It will get much more fun this summer when I do my supercharger upgrade/headers/exhaust. Looking for low-mid 700's power wise.

And here is a video of the 7.79 run:
