HCMC is asking for numbers so they can tell the track what kind of crowd to expect. So far I have Doug +2 that will be joining them at Chick Fil-A on Brier Creek Parkway for a 7:15 departure and Alan who will meet us at the gate at 8:15, is that correct?
Here are the schedule details from the HCMC website. Don't bother trying to find it, it's in the HCMC members forums only:
No breakfast meeting at Chick Fil-A, but they do open at 6:30 if you want to show early and grab a bite. Leave from there directly at 7:15. If you get there at 7:16 you will miss them, the guy that leads this particular event leaves on or before time, and yes you will make the 70 or so miles in an hour, trust me on this. Ignore the speedometer and just keep up. Here is the location: 8901 Brier Creek Pkwy Raleigh,NC 27617 They will go up the Raleigh-Durham Freeway to I-85 to NC 86/119/57 to get there.
If there is anyone coming straight to the gate post up and I'll meet you there at 8:00 AM. If I get no response I'll be waiting for them in Semora (NC 119/57). If anyone wants to join me on the way I'm leaving from Franklinton at 6:30, rolling through Oxford about 7, rolling through Roxboro around 7:30 and getting to Semora around 7:50. Depending on if there's anyone meeting me at the gate I'll either wait for the crowd there or continue on to the gate.
When we meet up with the HCMC crew we will roll straight through the gate to the paddock, park on row A against the fence and get our paperwork straight there. Then, it's off to the track and do some laps for the Victory Junction Gang and take some pics with Kyle (and maybe Richard) Petty. We're the first ones on the track.
Have a full tank of gas when you get to your respective meeting stops, they don't stop and gas at the speedway is very pricy (of course it's 106 octane, too). There's gas near Chick Fil-A and there's gas in Semora, but I don't remember anything in Milton. Food at the track is pricy, too, so either be prepared for that or bring something or plan on heading out to Danville for grub when you're done at the track. If we want to do something as a group in Danville afterwards there's a large variety to choose from.
That's it ladies and gentlemen (and the rest of you reprobates, too). Post up!

I am still hoping to make this one. Dont know about the 8:15 at the gate though lol! I probably will stay overnight in G-boro like I did last time, and then drive the rest of the way on Wed Morning. Probably be 9 or 9:30 before I get there, and like last time I will link up with Larry and crew once inside. I couldn't remember, is there an age limit on this thing?? I will have my 13yr old son with me, and wanted to make sure he could ride along.
Of course, all this is dependent on if I get the blue car back from Pro Dyno on schedule Monday, and can get the front end aligned on Tuesday morning.
