Go get a cheap solid helmet and give it a try. Or one of the hand held shields, shouldn't be more than $30 for a helmet though.
Is the arc just whiting out everything? No adjustment o. The electric helmet? Usually when I get off track it's just my hand or the gun blocking the view because I was too lazy to stop and reposition, or couldnt.
it's an auto darkening full hood with an adjustment from 6-13.
I am going to try just putting more light on the part and seeing if that helps. I can see the puddle but the arc just covers the tip so I can't see where the wire actually is.

Looks like you have done a fine job on that mount.

Not suggesting it, but the welders at the shop spend $150+ on their auto darkening hoods. I cant/don't want to do that, but I could see there being a difference between hood quality.

Try lightening the setting up. Should be able to see more that just the puddle. In full daylight I can see my yard with my hood, assuming I'm not getting a massive glare/reflection on the inside . Plus more practice, I've gone through about 15 lbs of wire since owning my welder and you can see I don't weld straight either haha.

I got this one a few months ago. Gets used almost daily. I'm pretty impressed with it.

You don't want the evo. Unless they've improved it from 2011 the mpg is worse than a gt lol.

I had an 09 EVO.. Yes the mpg sucked but it was a helluva lot of fun.

There is some more to the story on why the convertible got traded. Let's just say it developed a problem that would cost a lot of money involving coolant and the inability to keep it where it was supposed to be.

Here's the new ride in the daylight. I have never seen the car in person. I have been on the road all week and Kim found it, picked it out and bought it all by herself.

The GTS had a 2.0 in 2008 and 2009. I don't know when the 2.4 was introduced.
Kims car is a 2.4 and also an AWD car.
Of course the Evo was a turbo car hence the poor mileage. Although it probably could have done better but I just couldn't resist the urge to put my right foot down a bit more than was necessary.
Mitsubishi dropped the EVO , Ralliart , GTS and the GT for 2017.
The 2016 EVO is called "The Final Edition" and is supposed to be the last version of the EVO. The one on the showroom floor is a 2016 and has 303 HP.
