Default Anyone in the Goldsboro/Clayton/Raleigh area...

I'm looking for someone in the Goldsboro/Clayton/Raleigh area, or really anywhere near Goldsboro that has a lift they wouldn't mind letting me use. I'd like to do a good visual inspection of the underside of my car. Thanks.

What about one of the local small, private garages? Or a oil change facility?

I'm close by....to none of those places.

What's wrong with jackstands? Plenty of room and you don't have to get it that high just to look.

I dont really personally know any of the garage owners in town, though I guess I could ask if one would let me for a small fee. As far as jack stands go, I don't currently have a garage, or a place in the yard I feel would support jack stands without sinking. I may end up taking the car to a performance shop and have it looked at anyway. I bought this car used from a dealer, but it's obvious the previous owner has done some mods, and I'd like to find out the extent of the modifications done.

They only sink about an inch lol.
Get a mirror, you can see a lot that way. Cheap closet door mirror, you can take it with you to shows if you're into cleaning. Or pour a pad for a carport lol.
Best bet would be a small muffler shop IMO. Bigger shops actually worry about their insurance and won't let customers in the back, unlike a joe dirt esk mechanic.

Here is a idea for you. If you want to use jack stands on dirt, cut 4 pieces of plywood the thickest you can get about 2 inches wider than your jack stand base. This will keep them from sinking into the ground.

I'm in Franklinton, I don't have a garage but I do have a concrete driveway and four jack stands.

He may not have your skills, but the name MacGyver sounds better than Crint for a TV show. That is unless you had a trusty Asian sidekick to help you along the way. That would be funny.
