I'll just leave this here.

I liked my 2015, but didn't love it. I loved my 13 though. Wish I never sold that one. Granted I love my new car and have no plans to get rid of it in the near future, and surprisingly it's stock still! That's a record for me.
I'll drive the 4cyl turbo Wrangler when it drops. It will be for my wife so I'm not too worried about performance. She's more worried about fuel economy at crap like that.

I wish I had never sold my GT/CS(2013) but it is what it is.
I drove an ecoboost when they first came out but to be honest it didn't impress like I thought it would.
The CS with the Koni's and Vogtland springs rode and cornered every bit as well. At least in my opinion.

Mary wants a Cherokee trailhawk, in dark gray. She wanted a light gray interior but I think the Trailhawk only comes in black. Nice looking Jeep, maybe when I'm ready to trade the Subaru...but I would miss an open pickup type bed.

Jeep wrangler+pickup bed= bliss.

The Scrambler does look promising although I wish they had gone back to the "J" designation (J10).
There isn't much known yet about the engine configurations but I would guess that it would have the same choices as the JL. A diesel in a Jeep truck would be pretty cool.
The word is that the Scrambler is due out in 2019.

That's what I was getting at. The Scrambler was NOT a pickup. The J10 was.
Therefore the "J" designation would be more suited to the JL Pickup than the "Scrambler" moniker.
It's all semantics I guess. It is what it is and they will name things whatever they want to name them. There are probably a lot of younger buyers out there who don't even remember the original Scrambler much less the J10.
