Default what do you think this would be worth

I was looking through a junk yard that has classics in it and I saw this 429 that came out of a 1969. What do you think would be a good price for it?

It looks like a complete rebuild is in order. $500 and even though I may get flamed for this, they were basically boat anchors. A 428 or 427 is a much better engine.

There is a 429 around here for sale for 750, but it comes with the tranny. So 500 sounds good to me.

I agree. Unless it was a CJ engine, it's not worth much.

I wouldn't pay more than $180 for it myself... but I bought an entire 72 T Bird with a 429 for $75 so I might be a little stingier than most people...

427 or 428 is the way to go. or 390 with 428 heads.
