Default Classic Mustangs in the Movies

Add or discuss any movies that feature our favorite car. I'll start with a movie I saw today: Pajama Party with Annette Funicello, 1964. It may be the earliest appearance of the Mustang ever.

Along with the car, the chicks are pre-groovy dancing on the beach in, yes, very Victoria Secretlike "Pajamas", including some neat shear stuff and cute little shorty shorts.

Anyway... getting back to the car...

There's a Phoenician Yellow 64½ featured extensively, including an all-out chase scene where the little yellow pony rips through an entire town, driving through everything. All the mirrors are shaved to get better shots, but it's the real deal. The movie was shot in the summer of '64, so the sparkling new car was only a couple of months from the San Jose assembly line.

Any of you dudes who actually have a Phoenician Yellow car, this is definitely your movie. Go rent:

(short video says 1963, but that's wrong; and it does not show car, just pajama babes)

Well there's the obvious movies like Bullitt and Gone in Sixty Seconds, but one of my favorite movies with a Mustang in them are I Am Legend, Transformers, and Reno 911: Miami. I watched the first five minutes of I Am Legend like 20 times just to hear the supercharger whine.

I'm a little foggy on this one, but one of the Superman movies used a 65 or 66. I remember some woman being out of control in it and the man of steel came to her rescue.

im a bond fan so off the top of my head...

In gold finger there is a Ford Ranchero (bad guys) and a scene where bond chases down a yellow 64 or 65 convertible in his Austin Martin...

Also in Diamonds are forever a chick drives a 71 sports roof...

And in Thunderball Henry Ford II is an extra in the Nassau casino scene...

Probably more but its hard to remember all the movies because there are so many.
