Did Gulf Oil ever sponser Mustangs back in the day?
 

The reason I ask is that it occured to me that it might be cool to use those colors as Ford raced with them on GT's. I did a Google image search and found a couple 65's painted in that scheme.

Just curious if there were any official teams.
