Default New see through tires!?

Michelin is supposed to be making these.
The are run flat tires with individual air chambers that even police spike strips can not puncture.
I even heard there is going to be various colors too.

Spooky...

I've seen those pics before (like 2 years ago?) I wonder if they actually will make it to the market. Being that there is no sidewall, there is no need for air which means you can't really have a "blow-out" or loss of air pressure etc etc. The tires are engineered to hold the weight.

I just don't think I would ever be able to put those on my car though and take it seriously... would definitely be hard to get used to.

Bizarre. I would think there'd be problems in snowy/icy conditions. The Armor All people will be pissed.
