idk about cougars over mustangs but firebirds are 100x better then camaros...i nearly got a new firebird (well 2000s) instead of my mustang....im happy of the choice i made but...it was close

+1 - I love old Firebirds / Trans Ams (anything before '82 that is) but the Camaros not so much. I like the late 60's Camaros and some of the early 70's but I'd choose a TA any day over a Camaro in any given year.

When I was looking, I just missed a great deal on a '78 T/A with T-tops that was in super nice shape but the guy had sold it before I got there. That is when I started looking again and found the Mustang.

If whoever bought the T/A had been slower in getting there I wouldn't own the '66 Coupe. Not that I am complaining but the '78 was very similar to an '80 that I owned in high school (even the same color) and I would've been all over it if someone hadn't beat me to it.

I was going to buy a 69 Firebird before I bought the coupe. My dad and I were going to fix it up, but the old man wouldn't take the money we offered. His son even told him to take it, but he wanted more money. So it ended up sitting there for another year and a half before someone was dumb enough to give him the money.
