That's what I meant Waffles. This seems very high for a fastback. Maybe I'm wrong but with the current economy I thought it would be around 10k for a car in that condition.

Thats way too much for that car, in that condition. You could get a really nice one almost done for that price.

lowering the floor pan and moving the seat tracks back a little and a 65 is quite comfortable for that height.

It depends more on his legs then how tall he is.I'm 6'2 260lbs i fit fine in every mustang i ever drove but my brother that is 6'6 220lbs is a tight fit in my 68 with the seat all the way back.Tilt and a smaller steering wheel do help on leg room.

Headroom on 64-70 Mustang hardtops is the same. However, if you move the seat tracks back for more legroom, headroom improves, too. Alternately, you can fabricate longer tracks.

Thanks for the info. I'll let him know he can look at 65-66 Mustangs as well for an option. He has talked about a 71-73 Mustang as well.

im around 6'5" and i have a '65. absolutety no height/room issues when driving. the only issue i have is the non tilt wheel and me having to kind of push my leg between the seat and wheel.

edit:

i have a vert.
