Default 70 Mach rear panel

Any ford body and fender guys out there. I'm pretty sure this needs pulled out. The picture shows the rear panel @ gas filler with a slight inward bend. Is this correct or should itbe pulled out?

thanks in advance

Kevin Clemens

I believe they are supposed to have a slight curve, like boogerschnot said.

If you look closely at the picture, I know it's not a very good picture, but you can see a gap between the straight edge and the rear body panel. the gap I'm referring too is horizantal not vertical. I understand that Grande's and coupe's have a differnet rear panel than fastbacks and Mach 1, and that is where the confusion might be. This car is a Mach 1. The honeycomb body piece will attach to the rear panel, unlike Grandes and coupes. If someone has a 70 Mach and could post a picture that would be great. thank you

I'm not sure I understand what your saying about the gap being horizontal and not verticle.

If you mean that the center of the panel is bowed inward in the middle by the gas cap, then that is what I was thinking you meant. I believe that is normal for it to do that a little bit.
