Default real or fake 1968 GT 500 KR

Greetings,

I am considering purchasing a 1968 Shelby Gt 500 KR that is not local from a private seller. While he guarantees it is as shown, I would like your trained eye and opinion.

He says it is all packaged for shippng and is in Montana. Hmmm, Palm trees in Montana? I smell a scam.

Thanks!

update, he sent me more information. It is actually a 1967 restored as a 1968 Shelby GT 500 KR. Actually looks pretty nice and he says it has won some awards of some sort. But, is it really worth $9k?

yes, but changing a 1967 to a 1968 Shelby... Is that of any value? I would post a picture, but I cannot seem to be able to paste in this box.

Unless he is more then desperate to sell it and needs the cash and he just wants to get what he can no matter what the loss he may take on it.
