Thumbs down Real mustang cemetery

This guy had 87 of them when he died almost 20 years ago (i grew up 10 miles from his home up in the mountains in Puerto Rico and fell in love with mustangs after seeing some of his own when i was 16) The widow , who is a whack job with a lot of money and don't care about the cars , simply let them rot (yes , including several shelbys that cannot be brought back, i was there last week visiting my folks and the sight makes you cry) and she's been trying to sell them for $600,000 af of last count and the highest offer refused is of $500,000 and she won't budge and won't part them out.My friend (a mustang restorer), who lives nearby and went into the "mustang's lair" along with a serious buyer with $$$. Says that half of them are gone for ever and the rest of them in the present condition are not worth more than $300,000 and it would cost a buyer another $300,000 to properly restore them to proper standards plus the transport .paperwork and storage.Really sad stuff............

It seems like the only things salvageable are the mustangs in the garage. Some nice ones in there... a Shelby convertible, a 1969 428 SCJ (based on the oil filter), some 70 shaker cars, and some early model stuff that could be K-codes if this guy only collected rare things. Are those garaged cars worth 600k? not if someone wants to make money off of it...

Now if those cars that are outside were garaged as well... then we're talking. There's at least three shelby's (look at the 65/66 in the background with the glass window where the louvers should be), a bunch of fastbacks, Mach 1's, and all of the other favorites. Damn

Old people + too much money= nutbags.

Many of these cars are wasted. Let the family squabble over what's left, what a waste. Too bad for the cars though. Their memory's will live through my 67.

What a dumb, money-hungry biatch!!! If she already has money, why doesn't she just take a reasonable offer? I hope she rots just like those mustangs had to!!! Better yet, I hope she cuts herself on one of those rusty-*** mustangs and ends up with tetanus!!!

haha this story reminds me of a man who bought land that was owned by the goverment because the previous owner had died...well there was an extremely large barn with welded doors and there were hundreds of priceless cars inside, dusty, but in good condition!
