Modern color on a classic Mustang look out of place?

I like the vintage colors best. I think they look great.
I think the right color willl look good regardless of if its a new or vintage color though.
My car was originally twilight turquoise. I wanted a midnight blue, so I decided that Caspian blue was going to be the color for mine. Here it is.

Ok...I may have found it. It is a little lighter than Lexus Indigo. I saw this color on a newer Mustang and I thought it looked great. Not too dark, not too light and being a Ford color it has some lineage. So...could I do white stripes with the metalic, or should I do a silver?

Drooling here.. I'm actually looking for one myself now. Not looking for anything in mint condition as it'll be a true road use car ready to bomb down old dirt/gravel road and not give a damn about paint chips, etc.
A buddy back home has 2 of them now and neither see more than 100 miles a year. I cry just thinking about it.

My 2-cents is that original colors look better on the classics...
Spraying them in blatantly modern hues is a bit like taking The Caine Mutiny, and colorizing it, and then adding a hip-hop soundtrack... It doesn't make much sense if you think about it, it's a dichotomy.
I relish in the funky old 60's colors just as much as I do the old body styles, the old driving experience, the wind noise, the flat seats, etc...
That, and Caspian Blue is an awesome color in its own right.
