hey im a big newb. right now i dont own a mustang. I joined mainly because i have some questions

i have some questions about a 1965 mustang GT E? im not sure but the guy said it came stock with front disc brakes and was built for rally racing. i guess there was only 1800 made and most of them went over to europe.

If i could get some help with this it would be greatly appreciated

I think this guy might have been blowing smoke up your rear end.All the early mustangs that got exported was not named mustang it was a t5 the mustang name was already trademarked in euro by another company. There was a gt and gta the gt was a stick gta was a gt with a auto trans I never ever heard of a gte.

Haven't heard of a GTE before. The GTA designation was used one year; 1967. GT option came with disc brakes, but 1800 cars for rally racing would be a huge number to the point of unbelieveability. Ford made a Falcon for rally racing in the mid 60's and a total of 16 were made.

If you could post some pictures, it would help a lot to figure out what the car is.

Alright thanks. I don't have any pics right now but it was a California car this guy bought it from his sister when he was 16 and something was screwed up with the brakes. (I can't remember what it was) so he bought some part (can't remember what this was either....sorry) brought it home and it didn't make any sense...he then brought the cars vin into CaliforniaMustang and they told him that there were 8 cars in the whole state of Cali like his. So he had to send it in to get it rebuilt lol that's all I know about it
