I have a '69 351W in my 66. Since I don't have power anything, I kept it real simple and used a single groove 289 waterpump pulley, a single groove 289 crank pulley and a 289 alternator bracket and called it a day. There is a special bracket required where the alternator normally screws into the block on the 289. I got mine from a Bronco place for $15...the mustang place was selling an original, which is unique to the 69 351W for $150.
Not sure if that helps. It best to build up on an engine stand, to make sure everything lines up. It took a few trips to the mustang place that had a large box of pulleys before I found a set that all lined up.
