GT350R Klone

I posted some pictures of my car, which was at one time a coupe but was converted to a fastback, care of a rusted out fastback donor. I have been swapping emails with Bob and he wanted my opinion on if this car would make a decent donor. First some pictures of my car.

You can see where the top was welded on and then fiberglass filled and sealed.

Here are the pictures that Bob sent me, asking my opinion on this donor. I have highlighted the area that was used on my conversion.





First off, there are some good parts there. The door windows, the stainless steel trim on the doors, trunk hinges, the rear window are all hard to find or expensive reproduction parts.

It looks like the driver side is not too mashed and could be cut and straightened. The passenger side looks like it was hit really hard and it is hard to tell if it can be economically fixed. I would really be concerned about the runs around the window too. Some of these metal parts are also starting to be reproduced by Dynacorn, so perhaps they could fill in those part that are too rusted of damaged. Bob, looks like a big project to me, one bigger than I would take on or would make economic sense. Let us know what you decide.
