Default New to Group - and already asking questions

Hey all. I have a 67 Fastback GT I bought in 1978 - worked hard on it for the first 10 years, have been a slacker since (damn kids soccer )

Now that I have the time to start up again, I just finished installing a T5 - should have done it years ago - awesome.

Could the group chime in on the value of some old parts? Like I said - haven't been around the hobby for a few years.

67 tilt away wheel
67 instr bezel w/tach
old school Paxton w/both sets of pulleys (constant and centrifugal)
other misc parts from parted out 67 GTA

I'd like to clean up my barn - and make some room for new stuff - like suspension parts for my fastback.

Thanks for reading - I wish there was a resource like this 30 years ago.

Mike

Ain't that the truth!

Welcome to the forum.

IDK anything about the value of the parts you have, but the Paxton sounds pretty cool...

Nor can I provide exact info on the value of those parts but the tilt away wheel should be worth a decent amount, you don't see them very often. Also, the bezel with gauges should be worth more than usual cause of the tach.

These prices are approximate.

Tilt..... bout 350.00 to 450.00 pending the buyer and your quality.
instrument.. bout 700.00 to 900.00 and pending the quality

The instrument/tach is sold by some recon folks for 1100.00 plus after reconditioning of course.

I would place the parts on ebay and let them ride,Even if you get half what its worth still more money then you had and more to spend on your car.

Meeeee either but since I have one I'm gonna ebay..... I don't have a problem with it. I sold a 67 coupe to get my Mach I..Funny story the buyer of the coupe wanted me to throw it in (i brought it cuz he ask to see it)... I said 'no thanks". He started balking about buying the coupe ...so I opened the back of the Expediton up....got the chain and winch....

He said what are you doing? "I am not giving away a 1000.00 instrument gauge"

Haha, yeah, I did the same when I sold my first 67 Coupe, guy asked to see the upper and lower consoles I had. I showed him. He offered me an additional $100 for them.

I laughed. He said he wouldn't buy the Mustang without it. I said no problem, and grabbed my ratchet straps. He said ok wait, I'll buy it.

I then sold the consoles on eBay to a guy in Australia for $1200.
