Thanks for the welcome! It has a 200 straight 6(170,000+ original miles) with a 3 speed tranny.
questions:
Why is the clutch so heavy, what can I do to lighten it up?
All the lights work except for the brake, easy fix?
Thanks, I will ask more questions as I start tinkering with it.

I would stick with the I6 then, not sure if thats what you wanna do though.
I can't help with the clutch but for your brakes trace the wiring and check for cuts in the line, check the fuse box, and check your ground wire.

The brake lights could just be the switch, which is mounted underneath the dash attached to the brake pedal. The switch has a connector with two wires. If you can disconnect that connector and then bridge the two wires you should have brake lights. If they don't light you have other electrical issues. The switch is what I would look at first. They are a pain in the *** to replace unless you are plastic man. They aren't hard in themselves, just where they are located.

I dont think I have the brake switch under the hood. I have the brake switch under the hood tapped with the booster(does that make any sense)? and a 302 V8 might be in for the future, just because I have a friend who has one sitting in his garage.
Thanks,
