Default Interior paint

Question to anyone who's done it.
I want to freshen up the interior trim. The rear plastic panels to be precise.

Anyone know how many cans ill need?

I also know that's its semi-gloss but has anyone tried gloss and have any pictures of it?

Should i also get sandable primer?

I'm not a big fan of the fake leather texture. how do i go about removing that? anyone have any pictures of it if anyone's done it?

Thanks

Have you considered not painting? How about covering the panels with something you find pleasing? This would give you the chance to do away with faux leather grain and give your car a bit of uniqueness.

Thought about that, covering them with leather. I saw that once in an Elenore clone but then i realized the seats and panels covered in leather may be too much. I like how they did it in Troy's Fast Forward Fastback. He sanded them smooth and painted them to match the car paint. That's the look im trying to go for, It's why I'm asking around to see if anyone has tried it

Might be easiest to rough them up with ScotchBrite pads then spray them a couple of times with high build primer. Then you can sand it and hide the grain in the panels. Then you can paint them whatever color you wish.
