Default What's it worth?

I have a lightly used 289 (less than 10,000 miles, still in the car running), bored 30 over, Eldebrock intake, and Rhoads lifters.

Any wild guesses on what's its worth. I have a person asking on it, and I don't know where to start pricing.

Thanks for your two cents!

Mike

I'd guess maybe $500-$600

What year? I like the older heads better for the exhaust port over the later models.

But, its a guess anyway these days, but since someone can hear it run that makes it worth more to me. I would agree with BA I guess.

It's a 67 motor.

What's the relative cost to rebuild a motor?

Seems like after you buy a gasket set, machine parts ,etc - you'd have $1200 or so in it?

Yeah, but I can also rebuild a roller 5.0 for that and make it look like a 289 (At least close enough to fool the average Joe) It may be worth it if you can find the right buyer.

Its worth more to a guy that needs a date coded engine for a resto, but the 67 cars are popular for bigger motors and resto mods etc..

This all started with improving the front suspension and steering......and has evolved into a motor replacement.

I'm putting in a roller 5.0 with a Cobra intake - looking forward to fuel injection!

A guy with a 66 is looking to rebuild his motor - or buy mine. I just didn't want to give it away.

with intake, carb, exhaust manifolds $700-$800, without $500 or so.
