WIW 64.5 Mustang Convertible?

Hey, that car is really sweet. Almost everything was an option back then, what I see: 289 4V, auto, ralley pack, AC, console.
project with work done and potential $10K (plus or minus $2K)
I think you could get $12K and perhaps up to $14K to a guy that falls in love with it. Repair the motor/trans and it is a $20K car, due to the fact you will now have a much bigger audience to sell to.
This is a car that I would buy, get it running solid for $2K or so and have a nice car.

Damn, thats a very very nice looking car. Your discription and the pictures are totally different. I'd say 10-15k range. You could tell your friend to wait out a year and probably get more as the antique car market is in a bit of a slump right now (as previously stated).
Very nice car though. With all those options, you could hold out for some old guy with a little bit of money. You could also look into your home town, lots of governers and town officials love to sit on the back seat of a convertible Mustang during town parades and stuff.
Beautiful car though.

It does look better then i thought it would but 10k is the tops because its not running and the soft market. Most who are willing to spend that much on a car want it driving or something really rare like a Shelby or drag package car.Yeah if he sits on it a year or two and go it running it will bring the price up on it.

I am no expert on 64.5. Stang.... But this is what I learned when I did research on our oct 64 San Jose built convertible stang...
If it was built in San Jose then it's not considered a 64.5... Therefore it's a 65 conv and not as rare...
Someone correct me if I am wrong on this.
In my opinion, if the paint and interior are good. I would say best case $7500 for a numbers matching car with a block that can be rebuilt... If not then best case is $5000. Sitting for 15 years, then entire car needs to be gone thru and that's going to add up... Even if you do the work yourself
