Best web site to sell a vehicle
Hello all:
I am putting my 67 fastback up for sale. I have owned it for 15+ years but its time to let it go. Just wondering what the best web site is for selling these type of cars. Sites like autotrader etc seem to be for later model cars. Any advice here would be helpful. Forget Ebay. I don't want to give it away. :-)
Thanks!!

Shelbyville,
IT depends on the car for sure. Is it a driver, concourse original, a project? It also depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it to maximize the $ and or reduce the amount of time it takes.
Assuming it is a nice driver, in good operating condition, I would start by writing a great ad and open up a picasa account to post 100 pictures of the car.You kind of have to look at this from a reverse perspective. What groups of people are most likely to buy your car and how can you get good quality information to them.
Mustang enthusiasts - post in the top 5-10 mustang forums, like this one. Print up fliers and bring to all the local Mustang parts places. Certainly go to every swap meet, car show and at your local Mustang or Ford club.
General people- Craigslist is free. Be sure to post in surrounding craigslist locations. Parking it in high traffic areas in your home town is free.
You can put it on ebay with a reserve, so you don't "give it away". Be sure to put in the ad that it is for sale locally and subject to sale. Also put your phone number in the ad. A lot of time ebay is used to find the buyer and the deal struck in person outside of ebay.
Post some pics and tell us more about your car and tell us how much you want. It would be helpful to provide more advice.
