finally.....
Hey all, after saving $$ and a LOT of searching, I have finally put a mustang BACK in my driveway! Years ago (before the kids) I had a '79 turbo, and a '68 coupe. Sadly they had to go by the wayside. But now that they have all flown the coop, it's time to start over.
Found myself another '68 coupe, which received some restoration years ago. The person I purchased it from didn't do anything to it but drive it every now and then (from 2002-2012 he only put 2000mi on her).
The original 6cyl was removed by the person that did the original restoration, and replaced with a 289, with 302 heads. Has a edelbrock 4bbl, and a "performance" cam. There was some floor pan "patching" done but the floor and frame rails will be addressed in the future. typical surface bubbling around the wheel wells, and lower door area. All in all, a pretty good "rolling project".
I am sure in the future I will be on hear searching for answers, or inspiration during my restoration project!
