looking for a good 4 wd brake kit for the 65....

If you just want disc i would use the oem disc they are more then enough for the weight of the mustang.What size rims do you plan to run on the car?

15" or bigger. what i want to do is add 4 wheel power disc on this 65 and dont really like the oem disc brakes! was hopeing someone would chime in with a complete bolt on kit that they have and like.....

unfortunately for wilwood their rotors are custom meaning you have to go to them every time. you can get a nice 4 piston oem caliper and 11.3 inch rotor that's what most gt's had. if you really looking at bigger brakes look at mustang steve's cobra brakes brackets that way you can still get parts local and easy.

I have wilwoods i like them tell its time to change the pads and rotors,Hes right you have to get the pads and rotors from wilwood and the rotors being 2 piece you have to safety wire all the bolts its a headache.Mustang steve is nice you buy the brackets the rest you get from a auto parts store.Another company is http://www.streetortrack.com/Street-...cts-c-252.html they have a few options.

The OEM discs are fine for mild street driving, but need a very aggressive high temp pad to cope with more than one hard stop from freeway speeds. I have had the OEM discs fade badly on me on several occasions from just a couple hard stops. They would be even worse on a long twisty road or road course.

the cobra brakes are like 13" and coupled with ceramic pad should do the job just fine
