Default DynaMat (or similar product) + OEM insulation? Or just one?

Are products like Dynamat (or similar products) meant to be used in addition to the stock OEM insulation on the firewall and floors? Or is it meant to be a stand alone product without using the OEM insulation?

Thoughts? Experieces??

I used both (raamat) and thought it worked well. The Raamat was easier to install than I thought it would be.

if you are talking about the thin (1/8") butyl/asphalt based product, then think of that as a replacement for the thick sound deadening material the factory sprayed on parts of the floor pans and parts of the rear quarter panel on the inside. it's meant to damp vibration in the panel by adding mass.
