Default Tick Tick tick tick..... (bummer)

is the current sound my engine is making after a session at the track this weekend! Very sad Then again that is a price you can tend to pay with racing! It was really wierd the way it went down, I was flying down the track, everything seemed normal and then it just shut down completely. I towed it to the staging area, put a charger on it because it would not crank. turned it over and heard what I think is a distinct tick, or maybe it is just wishful thinking.

I am hoping it is a valve train issue and not something more serious... I am gonna officially start tearing into it hopefully later tonight!

Here is a pic I took the day before!

Check for bent push rods or a broken rocker mounts. Then do compression. You said it would not turn over, probably because the valves were not opening or maybe, if bad luck the valve was through a piston head.

5 year old thread...last login by the op was almost a year ago. I would say you're not going to get a response.

Jacob, start your own thread.
