fog lights
#2
This was my first upgrade on my mustang, seven years ago. It's an easy install.
For the power source: Find a live power source, you should have a plug in spot on the left or right of the radiator or on the drivers side of the fire wall under the windshield, beside the brake booster. If not, then you can run it from the fuse box, under the dash, or off a strip from the solenoid. Just ensure it has constant power. Ground anywhere to metal that connects to the frame.
For the lights: Take the "wings" off coming out from the pony center piece in the grille. Mine had mounts already installed for the outsides of the fog light parts. Make sure that the lights are in correctly, the lines on the actual fog light assemblies run vertical (up and down as opposed to horizontal, like I had them at first). There should be the word "fog" on the light assembly, ensure that it is readable from the front. I think it will be on the bottom...I'm too lazy to go down stairs and check...I just ran the Honolulu Marathon a few hours ago and can't move...
For the switch: There should be a two drilled holes slightly to the right of the ignition key switch. You can mount the fog light switch there. On my 67, the holes were already there and it lined up and fit perfect.
Lastly: Take some pictures and post them...I like to see other peoples rides on this site, it's the other half of the reason why I come here.
