Default 1965 VIN help-- "G" engine code?

Hi guys--

I'm looking at a '65 Mustang and the seller says the first five of the VIN read 5R07G. I'm confused because I can't find any info at all about a G engine code for 65 mustangs. Any insight? I've yet to check out the VIN myself on the car (car is located out of town... I'll make it out as soon as I can), but I'm wondering if any of you have any leads. Is it just a mistake of some kind, or is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

There was no "G" code engine for /65. The owner may have mistaken the "G" for a "C" code (289 2bbl). Mark
