Default fuel tank color

Howdy,
My first post here. glad to be here.
Got a 66 for my daughter for a father/daughter project.
Was thinking of swapping the fuel tank, but I noticed in a CJPony parts video, that the tank they swapped was the same color as the body. My tank is not painted (in the trunk). Could it be that it's already been swapped?
I appreciate any info.
Thanks
Danny

The color the tank came in is it's natural steel top and bottom, if it is painted, it is not the original color.

Thanks LynnBob. Mine is the natural steel color, so it's probably original. This car's been sitting a while, so I think I'll replace the tank and sending unit to be on the safe side. The video I saw with the painted tank must have been a car that had been repainted. Glad to be here learning.
(I've been living and breathing Mopar for the last 2 years, nice to get a break to work on something else)

Your welcome, glad to help.
Here is our trunk area, it is mostly close to stock detailing.
