i hope someone here can help me out. i have a 67 coupe that when i put the hinges on and bolt the hood to it the hood will not go down. if i take the springs off it shuts just fine. but with the springs on it looks like the hinges are trying to bend wrong and it is harder to push down on the hood than i think it should be. i have lubed all of the "joints" is there something that i am missing or am i overthinking it .? not like i have ever done that before. thanks for any help with this.

Odd. Are you sure you have the springs attached to the right place?

I can go out and take pictures of mine in a bit for example.
