Rear tail light issue

Rear tail light issue
I have had an on going issue with my tail lights since I got my 1966 in 2008. I would generally just wiggle the plug around on the housing and the turn signal, break light and running lights would work fine for a while until I had to wiggle it again.. It’s just something I didn’t bother with too much since it would eventually work for a bit. All other lights work fine and now even wiggling the plug isn’t working for the rears. I can get one side to blink and then the other won’t or it’ll blink when using the blinker but then the break or running lights won’t work (it’s a mix of what they are doing)
Where would you all recommend starting? Should I replace the housing and plug on both sides or do you all have other recommendations to look when trouble shooting?

There's many things that could cause this. If you can wiggle the wires and they worked for a while, the pigtail wires may have broke inside the insulation. You could replace the taillight body with the pigtail or pigtail separately. Need to get a meter and check the grounds and for power to the pigtails. Also check for continuity all the way back to the brake pedal switch. If mine ever start giving me issues, I'm going to replace them with LEDs for safety reasons. Before you start throwing parts at it, need to find out where the problem is. A DVM is your best friend.
