i have a 1966 mustang-302 engine-storing the car for the winter-i turned the car off with the key and the car started up again-pulled the negative battery cable-car shut off-reconnected the negative battery and restarted the car with the key-same problem and if fact i could restart the car with the key in accessory or start position-i am assuming a grounding problem-any ideas

your engine was running with the key in the run position?

you turned the key off and the engine stopped?

a few seconds later the engine restarted itself but the starter solenoid did not stay engaged?
