Default 64-1/2 convertable structural integrity

hello

i recently inherited a 64-1/2 6 cylinder 3 speed manual convertible with 90k original miles.
the car was always garaged and cared for and looks great from 10 feet away.
unfortunately when we examined it underneath and looked closer we saw evidence of "Swiss cheese like shoemaker patch work" in various places.

its really hard to gauge its structural integrity, so far there does not appear to be any sagging in the doors. it is not my intention to do a full restoration or sink a huge amount of money into it, however the car must be safe for driving even if only for a summer/weekend driver.

are there any crucial points to check or simply modify to insure the car is safe without getting into huge money.

thanks

Not sure what you want to beef up, but you need to limit the passengers size. A way back when I was knee high to an ant, a friend broke his convertible in half when eight big guys climbed in or on as may be the case.
