Default Single Exhaust to Dual Exhaust Question

I've gotten the dual exhaust intermediate line, the hose, and figured about about where the bracket should be.... how far over do i need to move the mount on the axle tube? and is it pipe thread or standard thread? and is it on the top or the front of the axle tube. Thanks!

Put the question in Swahili, and then add pictures and we might be able to help you.

Are you asking where the hangers go?

i guess my mind was working too fast.... let me try again...lol

there are 2 different brake line packages whether you have single or dual exhaust. I've been told that it is highly reccommended that when switching a car that had stock single exhaust to a dual exhaust system you should move the rear flex hose bracket from the factory single position to the factory dual position. Moving that hose so it doesn't rub against the exhaust also involves moving the distribustion block on the rear end. Now that block is held in by a bolt that also double as the rear end vent hose connector. What I would like to know is where the factory dual exhaust block mounts on the rear end in comparrison to the factory single exhaust car.

Hmmmm. Can't help you. The dual exhaust pipes on my 65 go well above the axle and don't even come near the brake lines, hoses or distribution or vent block. Mine is mandrel bent over the axle.

Here is a pic of my setup. You can see that the pipe comes nowhere close to the vent tube or brake line. If you are coming out of the muffler with a straight pipe to the rear, then you need to get a mandrel bent tube to eliminate that problem.
