Default valves, sparkplugs, coil wires.

Well guys i have had a busy day. First, I finally adjusted my rocker arms. They were all WAY too tight. I loosed them all, and now my car is running better, and has alot more power. Second, there has been a loud ticking. I thought it was the valves, but it turned out to be a loose number 1 sparkplug. So now my car is running better, and sounding better. Third, MY car has been stumbling, and popping. I thought this was due to floating the valves earlier this week, but it was actuallu the coil wire getting ready to come off. MY car is running soo much better. anyways just wanted people to know about proper valve adjustment.

Glad you got her to smooth out Charlie. It is sometimes those little things like loose wires that drive a man to drinking.

i thought i really tore up my engine, when i overreved it. Thats when the popping, and stumbling started. All it was, was the stupid coil wire.

Like I said, it's the small things. My coil wire came off in an intersection so I was stalled for awhile. The younguns in their SUV's were honking their horns and generally just being rude, but I figured out the problem very quickly, got her running, then just smiled at the honkers as I blasted off.
