Default 1969 351W fan options

What are you 351W guys running for a fan? I think my high RPM issue is coming from my fan. It's an aftermaket job that is 18 1/2" in dia. My shroud is 18 1/2 " in dia. The PO must have switched it and put a shorter spacer on it (1 1/2") because it dosen't go inside the shroud. The book calls for a 17 9/16 4 blade fan, I have been scouring the web for 3 days and can't find one. What are you guys running for a fan diameter and spacer length, and where can I get one?

ps I read that the front 1/3 of the fan should be inside the shroud......sound right?

Flexalite plastic fan with spacer as required to get the front of the fan at or just inside the shroud hole.

Not a big fan of plastic/fiberglass fans for the reasons posted in your other thread. JMHO , Dean

I found a steel stock style fan at Virginia Mustang, going to give that a try.
