Default Need a windsheild removal tool...

About to do some work on the cowl and need to pull out the windshield but I dont have the tool to do it....Anyone willing to donate or sell one cause I cant seem to find it on ebay either.

It's called a box cutter. Cut the rubber and pull the windshield out. The old rubbers should not be reused anyway. There is not a tool made for mustang windshields.

Like the man said. There is not tool SPECIFICALLY for Mustang Windshield removal.

I'll pass on something that worked for me. When I was having trouble scraping out the old rubber that was nearly solidified, I sprayed it with WD-40, let it sit for 30 - 45 minutes and it loosened it up enough that I’m not sure I even had to cut/scrape any more old rubber out. As I recall I think I just pushed it out from the inside. Don't know if it was just a fluke, but hey, it did help get my window out.

I have heard tell that a church key will work to get the chrome off.

Hey thanks guys...You're right its not specifically for mustangs and i'm sure a box cutter would work just fine. I have some of those around here somewhere ...ill give it a try...

You'll have less of a chance of breaking your glass if you cut the rubber. It will just lift out then
