i would consider any mustang with a bench seat rare

does it have a column shifter?

i dont think any mustang ever came with a column shifter.......
mine did. but i had to have it uninstalled do to my religion.

WHAT? ive never heard of that before??? i thought the whole point was to be sporty and to have a flor mounted shifter!?! was it original? i guess with a bench seat that could get in the way.....although it looks like it would clear it judging by my 68...

That was probably an alteration or a special order. There is no column shift listed in ANY shop manual or sales literature. I have a toploader and the bench doesn't interfere.

Sorry to confuse, I was talking about the seat, not the column shift. ALthough, like someone said, how sporty is that. Well, it's not. If you can believe it, I had a 68 Camaro with 327/210 HP, 3-on-the-tree! Try banging the gears on that! Like a 14" throw! [:'(]
