Default 67 with Bench Seat-Rare?

Hello Folks,
New to the forum. I have owned a 67 coupe in the past (crashed) and my first car was a 69 fastback (crashed in the snow) I was young, what can I say. Anyway, here I am about 15 years later and my wife finally let me get another one.

I found a 67 coupe, burnt amber, C code 289, with a bench seat. In great condition. Frame rails solid. Only a little rot under battery. What else is new. It was stored in a garage for about twenty years. Body is straight asside from some dings and scratches and I ot it running and have already detailed the engin and now working on engine compartment.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea how many were built with a bench seat. I had never seen one before. I assume it is a rare option. Any info appreciated. I will post pics soon.
Thanks,
Mack

coda618,

Bench seat stangs are rare, but not highly sought after. I too have a bench seat c-code '67 coupe. Mine was originally lime gold.

yeah, speak for yourself! lol! i'm looking for one, just cause. i think they are cool and they allow the woman to get real close to ya during a cruise! but regardless, any stang with a bench is rare, try not to crash this one. LOL!

I wondered about that myself. I have a 66 and all records are lost Mine is white with red interior...a classic sombo I think. But, how many with a bench seat? Axctually, the seat base and back feel the same as a bucket, only like someone else said...more say, comfy[sm=guilty.gif]

I also have a 67 coupe with a bench seat, i would rather have buckets tho because its really hard to adjust the seat and always feels like im riding in a truck.

i must admit, i hate the bench seat.....but to each their own.
