Default New TMI pony sport seat upholstery done!

Got my seats back for the uphosterer. Man does it look good! Guess I will have to get the car painted so I can get it installed. I'm still atleast a month from paint. Whatcha think?

Sweet! They did an exceptional job, didn't they!
I will be very interested in hearing your thoughts on comfort. Also If you have a shot of how the head rest attaches, that would be really great to see.

Looking good!

Yeah it does look good. That is why I have the pros do my upholstery. They do it every day and to them it is easy. I should have taken a pic of the brackets because I installed those. Really easy, the bracket bolts to exsisting holes in the seat frame. The main part of the bracket is actually above the top tube on the seat. The new seat foam is prenotched to accept the bracket because it is protruding above the top tube. There are plasic insert that go into holes in the brackets and that is what the headrest slides into. Really simple. I don't see how it would work unless you were using the sport seat upholstery though.

So basically they look like new car style head rests, Where the headrest rods go inside the seat, instead of the strap-on style with the brackets screwed through the seat back. Very nice!
I was hoping they would be like that.
Yeah, I can imagine it would be pretty dificult to cut foam correctly, and get the gromets positioned correctly as well.
Very cool. Look forward to getting a good "seat-of-the-pants" report on comfort and support.

Very nice. I think that is what I'd like to do after I get my my current project accomplished. What place did you buy them from. I'd like to check out what colors are availible.

I got the full kit from Mustang Plus. They can make any color you want. They didn't stock the turquoise and white in the sport seat so they custom made it for me. The first set they messed up and sent me standard uphlstery without the ponies. Mustang Plus made it right and got TMI to redo it. I could not be happier. TMI also custom made my 67 door panels with a Turquoise outside and a 65-66 white inside. I'm very happy with those too.

Got to repeat myself, very, very nice. Went to MP's site and fond them listed. 600.00 for the set and if I understood to ad correctly was that for both front seats, rear seat, headreasts and the new buns for the front or was that extra for the buns Also if you don't mind, did you have to pay extra for custom colors.

That is correct. Front covers, rear covers, headrests and seat buns for $600. I spent the $225 to have the pros put it on. Didn't want to take a chance on messing up a $600 investment. Custom color was no charge just a longer wait because the had to make them. They can do the seats in any stock mustang color they just don't normally offer the sport seats in turquoise and white. Not a very common combination. Especially not in a 67!
