Default 4 brl. VS. 2 brl.

My car was originally a 2 barrel 289 but i have since switched it over to a 4 barrel set up with a performer intake and a 600 cfm edlebrock. SHould i switch back to the 2 barrel set up or stay with my current 4 barell set up?

that 289 should respond nicely with the 600 and intake, shouldnt be a problem, are you experiencing any issues?

all that 4bbl is going to do is improve performance and help gas mileage if you keep your foot out of it.

Nothing wrong with the Edelbrock set up you have installed. Although I would have went with the 500 cfm carb.
These carbs are fun to tinker with. Buy the jet and needle kit and retune it, very easy.
My only complaint about the EDL carb is that when the car sits for a couple of weeks or more, it takes some cranking to get it fired up again.

I agree that the 500 cfm would be better for you. It'll give you more low-end torque. I love my Edelbrock set-up, and have never had any hard starts after sitting for any length of time.
