tell her that HER loss is YOUR gain, not her loss is eventually her gain again.
but that sucks, thats not fair, thats your hard work and your hard earned money.
EDIT: sell it to her for the amount she bought it for originally + all the money you invested in it.

actually you have to add the re-sale fee of 650, so an even grand!
obviously she couldn't fix the car when it broke down the 1st time. Just wait its going to happen again as she's not willing to keep the maintenance up on it. Especially since its a 2nd car to her. My car was great when it was a daily driver once I bought a new car and demoted the car to once a week all sorts of issues started. Just don't fix it right away when it does breakdown, after the car sits for awhile offer to buy it from her as its only an anchor to her at this point.
Just loosen up the distributor cap or sumthin to make the car run crappy again.
You actually had a verbal contract w/ her. If you went to court & she told the judge she did say that then he would award you the car. But unless you have a credible witness all she has to do is deny it, hard to prove. Next time get the title from her.
Sisters can be evil.

Well I know of some sneaky ways to get her to give it to you, or let you buy it. The problem is they can backfire real easy. But legally it is her car, she can do with it what she wants. Besides if she doesnt sell it you can still drive it occasionally. That is better than nothing, if you show an interest and take care of it with her, you might get a chance to own it. At 16 you gotta prove responsibility to older people, because they were 16 once and did stupid things too.
Best advice is be nice, dont make any mention of selling it to anyone else, dont say what it could be worth. Being nice is the first thing, because she can afford to have a new car, but she likes her old one too, there has got to be something going on that you dont know about. Maybe a parent told her not yet or something. The worst thing you can do is start a fight about it with her or your parents. If you do that your chances of ever gettin it are slim to none. Nothing is ever gained by fighting with family.
Lastly, there isnt much need for foul language. Your point can be made quite effectively without profanity. It also shows you are more respectfull of others, your family may be taking that into account as well.
For what its worth, I hope you get the car someday. they are awesome first cars, just dont be the guy who wrecks a 66 by doing something less than intelligent, like driving too fast or wrecklessly. It would be a shame to lose another one, and a pity to lose you..
Good luck..

Don't you have a picture of her with a jar of peanut butter and a dog? You need to blackmail her.
