Default To paint or not to paint?

I just sanded down my glove compartment door and ash tray with the intention of repainting them black. But now I'm thinking about just installing them the way they are. If I did that though, I would need a few more items to match them...what could those parts be? Will reflection be a problem? Has anyone else done this?

Yeah, you are going to have to either clear coat them, or paint them black. If it were mine, I would paint them black.

Yeah sorry. I would obviously clear coat them but I think I'm going to paint them instead.

I did the same thing with my glovebox and I liked the silver look so its sitting that way on ym car now. I think I may chrome powder coat it in the future, but I may just paint it black....who knows.
